What's it all about, Orbrey?

 Hi, I'm Nade and I'm the face behind Orbrey and the Modist ! 

I am a Contemporary Embroidery Artist based in the UK, creating abstract freestyle textile art using crewelwork embroidery, beads, paint, jewellery & vintage fabrics and threads.

It has always been imperative that my work is made with materials that are preloved, preowned or biodegradable as much as possible - I am often to be found scouring vintage markets and craft fairs seeking out my next treasures!

In 2020 I was a winner in the Wraptious Art Competition and won a bursary with The School of Stitched Textiles to study Hand Embroidery.

 I am also thrilled to be able to call myself a member of The Society for Embroidered Work and The Embroiderers Guild. 

My original embroidery pieces are updated regularly in my Etsy shop and I sell fun and colourful sewing related prints in my Redbubble store.
